About Titchmouse

The Cottages

Self Catering "Gites"  at Titchmouse

The Titchmouse is cute isn't she? Don't worry - you will not find her or her friends living inside any of our properties!  She prefers being outside in the countryside.

The area is very family friendly and there are wet day attractions to drive to as well as the excellent choice of beaches.

In the summer season, Saint Cast have beach clubs for children who can use the facilities either for a day or an hour.  There are trampolines, bunjee jumping trampolines, swings and climbing frames.  The adults in charge also organise games and competitions.  Dinard offers the same facilities.

The aquarium at St. Malo is well worth a visit and there is a touchy, feely area for the children and they can go on a submarine trip called the Nautibus.

Cobac Parc is fantastic for a day out with a swimming pool with water slides and waves, mini train rides, boats, bouncy castles, football, roller coaster etc.

Alligator Bay, close to Mont St Michel has a wide variety of reptiles as well as the alligators including giant tortoises.

The Mini Mont St Michel offers a model building visit plus fun bikes to ride such as Penny Farthings.

At Saint Mielles des Ondes there is a glass maker where children (and adults) can have a glass making lesson, taking away their creations.  There is a huge go karting track at Saint Mielles des Ondes too.  Both Dinard and Rennes have karting and there are big bowling alleys at Dinard, Dinan etc.

The area abounds with activities such as pony riding and you can even  go for a hot air balloon ride.

Le Bourbansais is a chateau and zoo.  There are guided tours around the chateau for parents and there is a play area with bouncy castles.  Falconry and hunting dog displays are held daily and there are special animal feeding times.

Culturally there are attractions such as the Cathedralscope at Dol de Bretagne - which demonstrates the history of cathedrals and their construction.  Children can look at the adjacent cathedral with binoculars to see what has been demonstrated.  Technically minded adults love this too.

At all times of the year, but mainly in the April to September months, there are many festivals. For instance there is the Fete de Remparts - a mediavel festival - which takes place every other year in Dinan where there are all sorts of exciting things to do and the atmosphere is wonderful.  This alternates with the Children's Festival which offers all sorts of free activities for children such as riding mini motor bikes, block (real blocks) building, art and pony rides.

At Titchmouse there is a play area with sturdily constructed equipment subject to regular maintenance checks. There is adventure equipment aimed at using up the energy of those children who are a bit older plus play equipment for tiny tots  as they have their own slide and trampoline.    Of course there is the swimming pool for family fun.
